In April, the third grade students had a lesson from the North Brunswick Animal Association. The presenters, Mrs. Walters and Mrs. Butkus, discussed the correct way to treat animals. As a follow-up to the lesson, Taffee, Miss Rhein's dog, came to school to visit the students. Each student had a few minutes to scratch Taffee and say hello. They all remembered to approach her slowly and extend their hands out,  while talking quietly to her so she would know they were friendly.
